metal detector

i dont know if it happening to everyone but when i try to do a collectables my metal detector wont work for any of the fossils,random items,random jewerly etc and its getting furstratings.

some dig areas dont need the metal detector

search YT , you'll find a video explaining the steps to fix this.

You can delete the player file in documents as Kind says (copy it to desktop if you're unsure) and when you load the game the file will be rewritten afresh and your metal detector should be working again.

As I understand things you can actually delete the whole RDR2 folder in Documents/R* Games and it will automatically be rewritten and replaced when you load the game.

Here is the guide how to fix it, this bug is caused by corrupted player profile and settings files

just one more question if i do delete the player file will it get rid of all my progress because i cant find where it says it will or not
