Why do people go on about how good this game is

Since this game came out, I've heard non stop about how RDR2 is the best game ever made.

About 50 hours in and I find it very meh, the graphics are the only thing that's good, everything else just sucks.

I hate the movement, it's seems sluggish, slow paced, the guns recoil are not accurate (something battlefield 5 got hated on for) the voice acting is alright, don't like the story of Arthur compared for RDR1, the multiplayer is really really fun but again is held down by the complete slaughter of what RDR1 built.

I have a feeling y'all only like this game because your told to like it and it's made by rockstar

I’m in the camp it’s a masterpiece of storytelling but overall I wouldn’t go as far as call it the GOAT. RDR2 is a slow game but I like it. Just take your time with the game don’t rush it cause you don’t gain much doing so.

When ya compare it to OTHER games with the open world and all ya can do ... if you just go for a ride you easily get caught up in other stuff - compared to other games its at least in the top 10.

18 % of 1000 = so of the open world games thats 180 and they are all top games so its in the top 10 of 180 top games that are open world ...

I find the story so far. (only 13 hours in) kinda aggravating.. The beginning was great I freed Micah and Sean. I really wanted to leave Micah and let him hang.. so far my biggest complaints are....

1.) couldnt leave Micah behind

2.) Dutch tells everyone to lay low and stay out of trouble.. then the next minute "LETS GO ROB A BANK THEN A TRAIN! YEAH YEAH YEAH LETS MURDER HALF A TOWN ITS FIIIINNNEEEE"

3.) i guess this is with 2 but meh... the lack of choices in the story. I am trying to be somewhat good while the story makes me free Micah who is someone I tried shooting the entire time. idk. that annoyed me the most.

It is a fun game, that has a lot of issues. However, just like the Mass effect series- it is not a masterpiece by any means.

Its a masterpiece and GOAT category because

it has amazing animations,graphics,story,weapon customisation,gear customisation,lots of items to unlock and find,173 highly detailed animal models well textured with their own AI, horses implimented betrer than any other game, poker,dominos,blackjack and another game,stealth mechanics done right so many quests and so much more.

yes its a slow burn but thats ok . it wont appeal to people with attention disorders most likely.

thats because people have different opinions yours just happens to be very weird if i do say so the voice acting is amazing not a game out there with better
