Game not launching

I just bought the game and had finished the download 2 hours ago, I tried to launch the game but its either of the two:
1.) rock star launcher will just show "rdr 2 is already running" and only has the exit option on it.
2.) game is only shown on task manager but never actually launching.

Its really disappointing that it is doing this especially when the download took so long... Does anyone know a proper fix for this? I looked everywhere but nothing seem to really work.

It is so annoying when companies use their launchers to punish their customers who are buying their product. Very anti consumer. Screw rockstar. I just want to play the game I bought. Do I need to download a cracked version just to play the game I paid for?

it just started working for me again for no real reason it just suddenly worked again

i found it solved.. veryy simple ... go to add or remove programs from the taskbar search. Search Open Cl, Open Gl and Vulcan compatibility pack .... uninstall that one. Thats it.... Boom its working ... Thank me later

It's not working. What else can you recommend?

I had this problem for ages on the Epic version. Solution was to:

• run it with just Wine-GE, not proton
  
• use wine dll override "vulkan-1"="native"
  
• mount the dir above game dir as drive D in winecfg, so launcher can actually find and see the game files

But since February I an stuck on the new launcher error 134 anyway see https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/1awzm24/gta_v_error_134_heroic/
Maybe it doesn't affect the steam version?

Since it started to work again i have put in another 100 hours
