though their support is awful, the worst i have seen from any company, so they likely will be useless. R* support doesn't read your replies usually, they just copy-paste verbatim from their manual

If you have any other R* games on your account that you care about (you've posted in gta5 forums - so you have a mouse icon / own that at least) - make sure to read the unlinking information before you go that route.

Basically - unlink = can't play.

Ideally, you simply contact R* and RECOVER your old account. Since you've said you 'lost' the email - you can also just spam forgot password on social club - plug in all your emails - and then check them to see which ones got a notification from R* (and, you can also just go search these emails for ones from R* unless you super duper / clean/ delete everything).
