daily challenges and replay story missions until you have enough gold to buy a role.....bounty is best for gold farming, collector is best for cash farming. save the gold for purchasing all roles (they each have daily challenges that pay gold, the more you have the more you can easily make). Have fun.

You don't need missions to make money you can go do other tasks like hunting, fishing, gambling etc. If your character is green it's best to try an all of the above strategy if you're finding those missions to be too difficult. Could also see if you can join a public posse and get in on some action.

story missions are easier than telegram and blood money, and they pay out better than stranger missions....you can solo stranger missions, but if it has the 2 gun logo it can be griefed by other players. Just so your aware.

and in my last post i made a mistake: quick join is in the "free roam" menu not "player"

Telegram and Blood Money stuff is more suitable once you reach level 50-100 and beyond. You can do them early on, if you role with a Posse. Don't solo them if under level 50-60 or so.
