All that updated was the included Launcher as they do this for all Rockstar Games every few months. Doesn't patch or change the game in any ways

The launcher log now just says “Unable to get file version info size for...RDR2.exe”, so I tried renaming it and verifying files again, but the game never launches. How is it possible to make a game so fragile.

I cant boot up red dead now after the launcher update. i tried contacting support and uninstalling and downloading the game again to no avail

My game now crashes upon last loading screen when im supposed to see Arthur and control him. i have about 36 mods installed so its pissing me off that everything was fine a few days ago and now this ♥♥♥♥. been months of working now game dont even wanna launch some bs. Like i just got a 1440p monitor to test it out as well. Any fix please or is it just ♥♥♥♥ for me

Same here, brand new PC. Played fine for 7 hours, then came the launcher update yesterday. Now when I press play the Rockstar Launcher pops up and says "Game already running" and boots me back to Steam. Really frustrating.

You don't launch RDR2 from Steam.

Reboot and launch Steam and then Rockstar Launcher, then launch RDR2 from the Rockstar Launcher

Stables seem to be unstable, alt tab to close out in online. I havent been able to humanely execute a wounded animal in rdr2 online ever...
