Can also just turn on file extensions, show hidden files, etc - and delete any FILE that is NOT a .RPF --- and any FOLDER that is NOT --- 12on7, redistributables, or x64.
Verify game files after.
May also want to go to my docs / rockstar games / red dead redemption 2 / settings and delete the system.xml file (or rename it). VR mod may have modified this depending how far you actually went while installing it / how you installed it. If you only dropped files into the rdr2 folder - likely not necessary.
*Of note - if startup.meta was used/in use --- Red Dead Redemption 2 \ x64 \ Data
The file is used for private RDO lobbies / 'password' entry at bottom.
If you don't wanna do that - you can just delete everything... EVERYTHING... and verify files. Expect a 100+gb redownload though - that was largely unnecessary.
/goodluck
Your game folder is 100% clean?
You nuked the system.xml file?
What else is the issue?
