why 6fps?
I could run around 15-30fps but now all of a sudden it rarely goes above 6. I have no idea why but now it's just unplayable. Does anyone at least have an idea why this is happening??

If you're sytem can only run it at 15-30 fps then it's either just not capable or perhaps your graphics settings are too high, it could be from your pc or whatever being so burnt out from you putting it through rdr2 for just way too long.

is low setting too high? I run pretty much every other game (ofc, at 40fps max) and I don't even play rdr2 that much. In fact I haven't played it in a couple months and only now is this happening. Either way, whatever it is, any fixes?

I'm trying to be nice about this but it's just as simple as your device cannot handle it 15-30fps should already be enough for you to stop until you get better guff, and you can run other games better cuz they're not as demanding rdr2 is the most graphically demanding game I know.

might be the temp of your graphics card getting high and causing the frame rate to suffer

That would depend entirely on how your PC specs compare to the minimum required PC specs for this game.

Sounds like it might be throttling due to excessively high temps. Things you can try:

  • Blow out the dust.

  • Adjust the fans for better circulation.

  • Download one of many available apps to monitor your temps.

But honestly, 15-30fps isn't great, but I'm sure you are already aware of this. If it can't play modern games you should consider a new system. If you are able to afford, of course.

Look man just save up for a new pc it doesn't have to be alienware or anything just upgrade it'll be worth it.

i dont mean this in a rude way but your pc sounds like it is absolutely not strong enough for modern 3D gaming
