PLEASE HELP

For some reason I am unable to delete any of my game files or make a new save once I load into my game. I just started playing an have about 2 hour outside the begining of the game. Is there anything that can be done? There is no point in playing if the game will not allow me to save, and I have plenty of memory space 177GB free. I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY do not want to have to start a new game, PLEASE help if there is a fix.

Usually the inability to save games is related to lack of permissions/admin, read only folders, or av/security apps preventing access to the correct locations. This includes controlled folder access in windows defender - which is the first place I'd look to see if it is enabled. If it is - allow rdr2.exe access, or turn it off (should probably allow R* launcher and social club as well). If you have other av/secuity apps installed, you can check them as well and allow rdr2 whitelist, exclude, or allow access.

The access necessary is usually to the location -
c/users/<windowsusername>/documents/rockstar games/reddeadredemption2 folder/subs.

Onedrive, cloudsaves, and non-default locations may cause more issues with this.
(imho - I'd configure onedrive not to do anything with the above location)

Of course, this is also assuming you aren't in missions where you can't save, etc. Or that you don't want to just go to the above folder / profiles / <profilename> and manually delete the save game files - srdr's. Probably other things over years that can cause issues to but /blah~
