Then delete the “Red Dead Redemption 2” folder under the Documents. Launch the game, accept any prompted window and finally change the API on Advanced Graphic Settings. It may ask you to restart the game, and by doing it it may also reset your Graphic Settings (having the API changed by now though), so set them and you’ll be done.

No, you simply edit the game EXE properties so it ignores your OS DPI
It is not a must that users change the in-game API from Vulkan to DX12, that is a simple myth. As it's not a 100% fix for everyone.
The crashes should show an error from the Rockstar Launcher.
And launch the game properly.
Launch Steam
Launch Rockstar Launcher
Launch RDR2 from Rockstar Launcher
Sometimes RDR2 might start minimizes, click the red game icon in taskbar when you see it, then wait. As the game takes a while to actually load up as it's creating GPU shader cache.
You might need to go to StartMenu > type Graphics > click on Graphics Settings. And from there add PlayRDR2.exe and RDR2.exe to the listing and change options for each so they are both set to High Performance GPU.
You have logs created by Windows Event Viewer as well as Rockstar SocialClub.
Here are my laptop specifications:
Device Name: LAPTOP-I8I7VEQ2
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
Installed RAM: 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1660ti 6 GB
Despite my efforts, the issue persists, and I have explored various solutions available on the internet, including:
Verifying game files
Plugging in headphones/speakers
Updating audio drivers
Deleting temporary files
Changing graphics settings from Vulkan to DirectX12
Reinstalling DirectX
Updating Nvidia drivers to the latest version
Deleting the Red Dead Redemption 2 folder from documents
Disabling full-screen optimizations
Regrettably, none of these solutions have proven successful in resolving the error.
If you delete the RDR2 folder from Documents, you are wiping out the file that holds the graphics settings, where you changed from Vulkan to DX12.
You're on a LAPTOP, which means you need to go configure NVIDIA Control Panel so NVIDIA is set to Default GPU. Set GPU Power to Prefer max performance.
Click StartMenu > type Graphics > click Graphics Settings.
Browse and go to RDR2 game folder, and add PlayRDR2.exe and RDR2.exe to listing, change the options for both to High Performance GPU.
Now that you have deleting RDR2 folder from Documents, you have to setup the graphics and all again in-game. Set this up first. Set the Graphics in-game so your screen res is correct, and set to Borderless Window. Do not set it to Full Screen.
When done in Settings, exit the game. DO NOT CLICK START STORY MODE YET. When game closes, now the settings are properly saved to a file, that if need be can be edited (Documents > Rockstar Games > RDR2 > Settings > System.XML
Now relaunch the game and start the story and see how it does.
