*Caution* Rockstar Accounts are being hacked
currently trying to resolve an issue with Rockstar about my (several other accounts recently reported online also) account being hacked. it is linked through STEAM for Red Dead Redemption 2 and linked through Epic Games for GTA5 both are trying to log me in with a username and email i have never seen before. I have receipts, confirmations, emails proving my purchase and last time playing. My Rockstar username has been changed with "rural" infront of my name and "Oc" at the end of my name that i did NOT change. I have been reading of multiple cases of this happening to others. Some have reported success with respectful help. Others have said Rockstar gave up or started ignoring them. At worst, some have reported No answer or an answer saying your not who you claim to be. I have federal documents to show if need be but then again, WalMart told me i couldnt cash a check because the S.S. number i entered was not mine, even though i had my S.S. card to show them with a valid state ID. People need to start doing jobs correctly smh. Good luck to everyone. I refuse to pay again so this might be then end of Rockstar for me...I will update if anything does change.

Yeah, well, I'm not worried about my account being hacked. I never play online so I'm good

Using and logging into the Rockstar Game Launcher are required to launch Rockstar-published games distributed through third-party platforms like Steam and Epic Games Store.

OK, did not know that, do not need another bloat-ware launcher on my system, hard pass even at $14 sale price...

Cheers

This has been going on since July. A lot of people have had their Social Club accounts compromised.

I don't mean to steer you away from the software itself because it is a great experience. Rockstar launcher seems to not be very secure. It does seem a little too much when your desktop game launchers look like confetti on half of the screen lol.

Cheers

No No, old enough to not be 'steered' and thank you for follow up. As mentioned, plenty of games in lib unfinished or not even started yet, so no pointing in padding the list even further. Maybe in a couple years I'll clear the dance card... :D

Lost access to my Rockstar account as they linked it to the sketchiest looking email and still no word from rockstar on helping me get it back.

Managed to find an email from while ago (all in chinese) asking if it was me making the email change, which I must have ignored thinking it was spam....
