Is the online worth playing?

I saw some insane cheats for Red Dead Online which can control other players, see their IP and what not. Is it worth it throwing away your safety just to play the online mod?

Look mate, here's some blunt truths.

If you want to dive straight into RDO as a non swimmer then you may as well go swim with sharks and crocodiles and hope they eat each other before they eat you.

Online is an absolutely brilliant experience providing you're by yourself or with your mates.

Let's face it, when you leave your house you're not going to interact with anyone unless you want to.

It's unlikely you'll get shot up.

Red Dead Online is a great experience.

Online is full of hackers and basically unplayable unless you do what the guy above said and play in a private lobby with friends.

that's a nonissue. IP addresses are public info and not a safety issue. biggest issue wiht online is about the ony time you see other ppl it's likely a cheaterscrub warping you to top of moutain or some bs. Used to be ways to get in pretty much invite only lobbies, not sure if any work now.
