If you can't log in/play gta5 due to account already linked/social club credential problems.. that's a much larger issue.
If your steam account, is/was linked to the same social club account that epic games was linked to - you should still have no problems playing (though, possibly could if rdr2 is still installed via egs - but that's a different problem).
Gta5 is considered 3 different copies if you had a R*, steam, and egs version - all on pc - tied to 1 social club account. I imagine, that rdr2 will behave the same way.
When in doubt, can ask R*, or maybe someone with that exact experience will chime in.
edit - Gta5 was mentioned with other things that could be/cause issue. Not just the complaint of R* saying you already own it. Some people have multiple accounts, etc.
But yes, my Steam is linked. I just want to know if there will be issues when I buy RDR2 on steam - since I already have a copy which was linked from Epic GS. In my mind that should not be an issue, since I am giving money again to R*
I submitted a ticket to R* but maybe someone has a similar situation
... what? That's not helpful: You basically saying Yes you can buy the game as long as you have a good password. ...nonsense. *sigh*
I know I can buy the game here again. The question is whether or not the Social Club will cause issues, since I already have a copy of the game linked to it from Epic Games. Why is that so hard to understand? R* support replied also with a standard template about GTA V... for whatever reason.
Guess I buy the game and do a refund if it does not work.
