How slow is this game?

I see some complaints that this game is paced unusually slow. How true is this? I like the idea of RDR2 & it looks great but I don't have a very lengthy patience for games that too slow. Never did the first one as it didn't interest me. I am all good jumping into this since its before the first game anyway. So I don't really know what to expect

It's basically the same as the first one with more dialogue. It's very slow.

There's a lot of long conversations while riding horseback for miles.

There's action but it's in bursts much shorter than the dialogue and cutscenes.

There's a gang but you don't manage it. You're dragged along with it.

If watching the sun set through the trees doesn't sound like your cup 'o tea, then it's probably not your kind of game.

Fair enough I understand. Maybe I will pick it up next time it goes on a discount. I missed it this time but if it’s cheap enough I may as well try it out. Maybe I will get over how slow it is if the rest is that good

the story mode goes as fast as u play it
there are side missions things like that if chose to do them can slow down the play time bit
other then that if stick to the story missions offer to u
it good time over all

online side is waste ya time
full of Chinese / Russian hackers are hell bent on ruin your game play

so u have to make private sessions for u and your friends if want to play online

or be harassed endlessly by hackers/mod tool users that run wild and free in the online side of the game
that can get your account banned for taking items from them
or just force D/C your game session so on and so on

they can use admin tools to no clip right onto back ya horse
blow u up killing u and horse then vanish like ghost
yes i had that happen
do it with crips wagon or moonshine also

so private session is must if want to get those things done
not be harassed by hacker/mod tool troll's that infest the online side of the game

It so slow that i literally feel how i starting to fall asleep. All this horse riding is very boring process and 99% of game time you'll be at wild nature and it calms very good.
I didn't understand this game and had to delete it. Maybe you will like this boring slow moving tutorial they call a story mode))))

gta 5 is one of my biggest disappointment.
I love gta since i played that old first gta game. From game to game it become only better. I remember when gta went 3d and it was like gift of gods.
Then the world saw legendary GTA4, the best gta we ever had by my opinion. I literally could live in this game. Dating girls politely, visit taco bell restaurants and many small things what make gta only better.
When i saw gtaV trailer i was very happy to see cabrio roof, pets, housing system, finally!
And what i had in the end? Closed restaurants, closed hot dogs, park full of benches but i'm not able to sit, only few places in city to interact with. GtaV feels like cut version of gta they could give us.
That's why gtaV fell to bottom and has reputation as "game for inappropriate people". As normal player i don't know what to do in this game. No normal no activities other than fight other players.
I remember pvp oriented game called APB - All Points Bulletin. So GtaV online literally repeats APB game. This is sad when gtaV potential limited by only pvp mode.

RDR2 feels slow maybe because horses are not cars like in gta

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online mode is not for everyone, sure it takes a long time to earn money & level up but working hard for the goal of making your character strong & getting better stuff as you unlock them is the best part.

Most people are not patient enough to deal with this game cause they expect it to be easy & have everything handed to them on a silver platter, but this game is kinda like it is in real life like you have to work hard to get what you want & get better.

There are various ways one can level up faster than normal in this game, but you would need to know how to do it.

There are guides that tell you how you can level up faster & also earn money faster but you will have to search for them your self cause no guide is the same.

I would say it can feel slow at the beginning. In act 2 once most mechanics have been introduced game picks up the pace.

You don't want to miss this game, one of the most technologically impressive video games out there thanks to euphoria.

imo its mostly just the story missions that are slow, but everything else you can go as fast as you want

I started playing it and cant bring myself to pick it up again due to how slow it was just getting from a to b. Walking in the snow was so painful

It's a very slow game but if you're like me, you'll enjoy it. I have played it.... ten? times and I usually take my time with it.

I'm one of those that stops and looks at the world and takes plenty of screenshots. I spend time just riding and caring for my horse and playing the game as peaceful as possible. I'll stop by a river and fish, clean my horse in the water or I'll even stand next to a fisherman and fish with him. Just make it as peaceful and relaxing as possible.

Then there are times I'll screw around and hogtie people and feed them to alligators. Blow up the KKK and literally shoot their heads off with my sawn off, I'll walk around towns and people watch and greet everyone. I'll customise guns, try different challenges, get materials, search for new horses, etc.

It's probably my favourite game of all time.
