Why did Rockstar just move on from the online in this game and just never release new content? Online has so much got damn potential. tf.

Game must have been under-performing in Rockstar/Take-Two's eyes.

Which is too bad, because this game feels like it has the potential to be one of the best online worlds ever made.

Well, on console anyway. On PC this poor game is nothing more than a tortured "cheaters playground." :/

I think I heard that Rockstar Games is now transferring "all forces" to the development of GTA 6

Cause for multiplayer, guns and fast cars is more popular than cowboys on horseback.

I think that depends who you ask. :)

Personally I’m way more enthralled by the world of Red Dead Online than I am by GTA and it’s silly flying jet bikes and villainous “death lasers.”

Having said that, I do think GTA Online is the infinitely better designed game.

- Two Character slots.
- Better economy where buying a nice jacket doesn’t take hours.
- Notifications when players are starting up Co-op/PvP content.
- Can customize mission difficulty of Co-op Missions.
- Can customize settings of PvP matches.
- Can skip repetitive cutscenes.
- Text chat so you can actually communicate.
- Officially supported private sessions.
- Passive mode that actually lets you avoid PvP.
- Multi-part heists and in-world robberies.
- Player housing.
- No silly morality system that locks you out of story missions.
- etc, etc…

No question GTA Online is the better game, but I much prefer the atmosphere and setting of Red Dead Online.

It's like Rockstar intentionally designed RDO to be worse. :(

What? Were they afraid if it was too successful it would take away from GTA Online's playerbase? I don't get it. o_o

They never bothered doing ANYTHING with RDR2 online from the start.

Sadly, yeah. :/

When players were asking for player-housing Rockstar released additional horse race tracks.

When folks were hoping for heists and in-world robberies Rockstar released the Naturalist Role.

So lets see here:
- Inferior game design to their previous online world.
- Ignored the community's wishes.

Yeah, any wonder this game didn't take off? :/

Idk what they expected when everyone spent 200 hours in the story before coming to multiplayer, MP was so empty there wasn't a reason to play
