Target locking
Hello. I'm playing RDR2 on a desktop computer. Can we shoot small animals and birds by locking them on the target in hunting? While watching the videos, I saw that the players locked the target. Is this feature only available when playing on console?
Thank you

I believe it is a feature for controller users.

in the singleplayer "Story Mode", there is a state of "Deadeye" that allows you to Mark Multiple Targets. When you "shoot", the character will fire multiple shots, one for each marked target.

At the lower levels of Deadeye, (in Story Mode), you can sweep an un-scoped weapon through multiple targets and DeadEye will Mark each target for an attack.

At higher levels of DeadEye, you must press Q to mark a target, but you can still mark multiple targets (albeit manually)

Auto-aim or any kind of aim-assist IS ONLY FOR controllers.
But you can just Dead-Eye mark them and shoot. The outcome will vary as Dead-Eye won't guarantee a 1-shot kill.

It's not sad. WTF would you need it when you have lighting fast reflexes with a Mouse.

I wouldn't be surprise that people wouldn't invest in proper mouse and uses free potato mouse that comes with pre-build computers.

Once you get used to controller you can target lock and flick to head just as fast.

That's nice. It's also dumb. There is zero skill.
That's how KIDS play games.

When you're over 40, getting slower, and would just like to enjoy the game and environment. Yes, get good noob is more like, please just let me not quit gaming all together.

So keyboard and mouse, I should expect to continue to get slaughtered at every hostile random event, or accidentally following someone too close, running someone over with my horse when all I wanted to do was greet them.

Which gets me killed.

No wonder my ancestors just became farmers and said to hell with going west.

Paint it black pretty much does this even with free aim. It's great for hunting unless your using sniper rifles. If you are using sniper rifles - slippery bastard is great no one can target you.

I like slippery bastard cause I can run up with a melee weapon or lasso and you won't be able to target me.

WAHOO!

I am finally getting a hang of the Eagle Eye system. For once I managed to face down 8 opponents and not get smoked.
