This obviously happened to a ton of people and they're overwhelmed, which doesn't help when you're already incompetent.
The first time I was able to submit a ticket.
The second time around, I was routed to some User Chat.
Now a days, I don't take any chances.
I pray to just about any religious deity I can find. to get that support ticket through.

You have to claim your account was compromised with the Rockstar support app/page. Then eventually a real person will contact you via email.

As far as I am aware - phone/callback is only if you 'log in' to social club. Most live chat options are also for 'if you log in'. Web ticket / 24-48 hour responses are avail without login. They used to fix this in 5-10 mins via livechat on a dummy social club account but since a giant flood of people having problems around June 2023 (when steam is no longer automatically logging people in regardless of email/pass), it is being reported they no longer do this and push people over to tickets/email.
/goodluck
edit - Yes, they need more than just a steamid, and cdkey. what happens if the steam account was also stolen? Some prefer to cry about it (and that wont' fix anything). If you don't answer their questions correctly, what do you really expect? /goodluck~
Holy mother of God! Thanks a bunch man! I sent them a message. Now I just need to pray I get a response. Thank you guys for the help!
Have fun. :)
How was your issue resolved? You no longer had access to the email associated with your Social Club account?
Exactly. The old email provider have very bad security, like rly bad. You call them and you tell them over the phone “this email” and I want to change username and password on it….and they do it eithout any id verification, no 2FA no nothing. Thats why I moved to gmail back in february 2023. I also requested deletion of that email bcuz it had ofcourse emails in it that contained personal info. And I could not remember my password for my social account. So, I was stuck. Rockstar support asked me to provide screenshots that I do own this steam account and the invoices for gta5 and rdr2. And I figured that my old iphone is still sitting in my drawer and lone and behold it worked and it had old emails from old email account fetched. So I found invoice for rdr2 from october 2020. Thats it. Then they proceeded with changing contact info on my social account.
I don't have any, or can't access any info from my lost email, but I provided them with all the Steam receipts, Steam ID, etc, and they have denied me. Really kind of pissed, I had no trouble recovering numerous other software accounts, including this Steam account.

I gave them all that info besides old email receipt screenshots (screenshot of Steam receipts were given though) and I'm not sure what the nickname was on the account, but I gave them the old email address which clearly matched to the one that they wanted me to login with on Social Club and a screenshot of that window.
That little mouse icon next to my name and proof of purchase/CD Key/s are all that should be necessary. They should know those games are linked to this Steam account, period. I won't buy another Rockstar game if this isn't fixed.
