pelt stuck on horse

i have one pelt that stuck on my horse and i cant get ride of it. think its a boar hide not shure about that. there is no item on the horse and i cant sell anything its just there.
any idea how i can remove it?

Can be a visual glitch sometimes.
Go on-foot, right click Horse > Flee.
Wait a minute, enter Stables and change horse or retrieve the one you had flee, then exit Stables and it should be gone. If not, press ESC > Online > and select Free Roam or Camp. This will change sessions and clear the cache, such as with your Horse for example.

switch horse in stables only gives the glitch to the next horse :(
and i play story mode so to go online wouldnt help.
if someone else have this problem the solution is to die...

It may not be a glitch but a hacker or modder messing with you

We thought you meant in RDO. Since you did not specify.
Yes just play the game, it will resolve itself.
Again it's a caching issue.
Usually just save game and then go back and reload that save and it should be cleared up. If not it will be clear up the next time you exit and relaunch the game.

I've had it happen even in story and it can often be cleared up by going into stables and switching the saddle, exit stable, skin is gone, enter stables, put on saddle you really want, exit stables. Annoying but it happens sometimes.

tryed all this.
i had multiple saves and reloads.
going to stable and switch horse. the glitch swaps with the horse.
switching saddle from one horse to another in camp the glitch dont swap to the new horse but comes back as i give the sadle to the original horse.
the only fix that help and i found out this bye a youtube video is to die.
so i jumped of a cliff and the pelt is gone. ?.?
strange but ok its solved.

Theres so many glitches in this game its hard to tell between the game and people hacking .

Again, we are talking about Story Mode.

It's also possible that it's a Legendary Pelt and thus when you go to the Butcher it won't show within there since you can't sell it to him. Have to sell that to Trapper.

it was boar hide i think. was at the trapper to sell the legendary fox hide that was on top of the stucking one.

Again I would just continue on. Most likely will clear itself over time. It always has for me. Sometimes the manual methods I explained before, but not always. It seemesyo clear itself up after various missions

The same thing happened with me with the legendary boar hide. After that, could you do the items that need this hide or the tusk? I can't and the legendary boar doesn't appear in my compendium.

Might be a corrupted save file

Can confirm dying fixes it. I blew myself up and the hide disappeared
