Playstation 4 Controller just doesn't work now?
I've played the entire main game with my PS4 controller, with the setting "Enable Steam Input for Playstation Controllers" turned off, as this would allow you to play the game with actual Playstation button icons in game.

But today I tried to boot up the game to play, and now my PS4 controller doesn't work at all? It won't allow me to use it in game. Tested the controller and it works for moving around menus in Steam, like in Big Picture, but it will not work at all in Red Dead 2 anymore. I never changed any settings.

Can anyone help me figure out why my controller that worked for 200+ hours of gameplay, isn't working at all in game for this game now?

I'm trying to get my ps4 controller to work, haven't played RDR2 before. Steam input disabled.

The controller has to be plugged in via usb to work in game for me, it works and shows the PS icons.

If connected wirelessly, the ps button icons are there to begin with, but it won't recognise any button presses, I can't progress past the rockstar message. If I touch the keyboard/mouse it shows those inputs, but I can hold the PS button and move the right joystick and steam recognises that a mouse.

I can boot up spiderman and that works perfectly fine wirelessly with steam input disabled.

I figured it out again how to get the PS4 controller working wirelessly and have the game show proper Playstation icons. In Steam settings > controller settings, you have to turn off all of the Steam inputs, except the one that says "Enable Steam Input for generic controllers". That worked for me to have the Playstation icons in game, and still have the game recognise my wireless PS4 controller.

Thanks for updating but that doesn't work for me, still gives generic button prompts. Ah well.
