Also be aware a few of the trinkets have items you can accidentally sell.
The rare stuff does not appear on the sale screen, but things like Earrings and the gold jointed bracelet, or silver chained necklace can be accidentally sold.
once crafted / bought / found, they count.
You can confirm this by pressing ESC > go to Player > Arthur or John and under these categories you can see which you have. Which again apply to you as the player at all times.
Wearing a certain Talisman is simply for cosmetic purposes.
A few rare ones will be missing from the player, and can't be obtained through the Fence. They must be found in the game world or obtained through certain missions.
