ps5 controller with game on steam

Is it possibile to play this game with a ps5 controller? Because whenever I open it, it shows xbox prompt/buttons, I'm able to interact with the game, but it's very confusing since the buttons it shows are different, while disabling steam input it only let me play with keyboard and mouse.

Please be informed that we only Support Xbox controller. We are sorry to inform you that windows doesn’t support PS5 controllers directly.

yeah but PS5 controllers require additional dongle while XBOX controllers are free to use

I got my PS5 controller to work by linking the "Rockstar Launcher" to Steam (not by linking "RDR2" to Steam), and opening the RS Launcher in Big Screen Mode.

I didn't require a dongle.

I don't get the linking part, can u please re-explain it, I bought the game on steam is it a problem? When I launch the game in big picture mode it basically opens the RS Launcher then it launch the game, is it the same operations u do?

It will work however the vibrations will only be on the left side of the controller which is very annoying (it's not just RDR2, it's with most games using standard rumbles instead of ps5 haptics, the dualsense isn't good for games with standard vibrations).

I remember I had to link the Rockstar game launcher as a non-steam game to my Steam Library, then I had to open the RS launcher in “Big Screen Mode.”

I forget the exact steps to link non-steam games to your Steam Library, but I’ll post a video if I find one.

If you play with controller, game will show XBOX controller layout.
And for my settings, I never configurated those, im playing with the default config.

Yeah I did this, sometimes it gives me error with the files, they probably scan them first but hey it works, unfortunately it's not possible to play online.
