If support told you to delete it, they probably just meant to delete it once. Like if it had old settings in it. it should be created new again any time you start the game.

You only delete that if THAT is your issue. It holds the graphics settings; so yes it has to be created when launching the game. Then you launch the game, change the graphics settings so they are correct for you. Then exit the game to ensure they get saved. Then re-launch the game again.

Make sure you do not have OneDrive or similar app updating your files through a re-sync of old files. This is quite common because people are blindly allowing OneDrive to backup/restore files in Win10/11. If you use such a app, do not have it set to backup or restore the Documents or AppData folders.

one drive is quite literally one of the worst things that could be forced on to us.

first year i got my computer i kept saving important files to one drive without even knowing it existed on my pc, thought all of it was lost so i recreated literally hundreds of files from scratch just to find out about one drive and where it kept putting my stuff.

disabled it, but cannot uninstall it.

i don't want it on my pc.

i understand it can be useful for some people and i could even see it being useful for my self, i just wish it was a choice i could make.

not allowing that is seriously a crooked business practice especially with how one drive will literally take your files from you and re-sync and poof, they get deleted.

You can Remove from the System ( In Windows 10 ), there is a Tab that you can click on that lets you see stuff that Windows has Installed ( Not Every Single thing though ) but CloudDrive is listed in it.

it cannot be uninstalled, there are always programs like that in programs and features and their "remove" button will be greyed out.

you can only disable it, not uninstall it.

just to clarify this is what it says directly from google if you ask if onedrive can be uninstalled:

"OneDrive is built in to some versions of Windows and can't be uninstalled"

my version of windows does not allow me to uninstall it because it's literally part of the windows 10 build. - which is the entire problem i have with onedrive, it's a data control app that doesn't require user permission and is installed as unremoveable bloatware on windows pcs.

All that matters is you disable it. It's very simple.

Yes you can. Maybe you're using some user without perms.

Right click OneDrive > Exit
Task Manager > Startup > OneDrive > Disable

You can disable it a bit better using the ShutUp10 app as well.

i already did this.

as i already explained it CANNOT BE UNINSTALLED.

disabling it is not uninstalling it.

and again, no you can't, im literally the administrator on this pc lmao why are you trying to act as if you know more than someone who has literally done the research on the subject? - just because you can uninstall it doesn't mean others can, like i said:

it literally says CERTAIN WINDOWS BUILDS DO NOT ALLOW UNINSTALLING OF ONEDRIVE.

maybe there are SOME versions that allow it, my pcs version of windows does not.

research what i am saying, it's fact.

"OneDrive is built in to some versions of Windows and can't be uninstalled. But you can hide it and stop the sync process."

"built in" as in literally a part of the OS and cannot be uninstalled.

not really considering it's there without my permissions and still does things even though it's disabled.

disabling it only stops the syncing and hides it.

it doesn't stop it from actually taking your files and uploading them to the cloud which is the major problem with onedrive, it does all of this without user permissions.

I get some people's frustrations but you don't NEED to uninstall it. Disable of it does the job.

currently there is an investigation into windows for them taking user data and selling it.

the story just dropped like 11 days ago.

so no, disabling does not do the job when it's still taking your data.

like i said already: disabling it doesn't actually disable the program, it just stops it from syncing your files and hides it so you don't see it.

it still takes your data and gives it to windows.

you mean like research how people are now saying this is going to be the year of linux because there is currently a massive investigation into microsoft for theft of data LITERALLY USING ONE DRIVE?

tell me you're behind on the times without saying it, it's not me who needs to research, it's you.
