To hog tie a person after lassoing them is the "F" button I believe, you normally get a prompt when they're lassoed and you're close enough to hog tie them.

Please go into the game and load up your Story.
Then once it loads in, press ESC > HELP and go through that.

You playing with a Controller?

same as tackling.

just press the melee button with the lasso in your hand.

you don't even need to have them lassoed, just stand next to someone with the lasso out and press the melee button and you should tackle them and tie them up.

Default is F. its in the keyboard and mouse settings menu. You can look at them all in there under keyboard bindings.

Thats my experience as well. At first I thought you had to already have them lassoed, but you dont. I had one guy knocked down on the ground and ran up to him and hit the F key. That tied him up.

left mouse attacks a person in melee range with a melee attack so F or left mouse will do the same thing if you have lasso and are in melee range. either works

I didnt even know that yet! Im always afraid that pressing the left mouse will end up shooting someone, but I guess youd have to have the gun equipped? If you have a knife equipped then youll end up stabbing them?

No even if I had the Lasso equipped; if the guy is down on the ground already, its going to Melee him (kick) when the person is down like that. If you want to Lasso w/ F key, the person needs to be standing up-right. Otherwise just get out the Lasso, right click it towards the person and then left click. Once it ropes him, pull him towards you, then press F key when it pulls him in close enough. It will prompt you down in lower right to press F to hogtie.

Best way to take someone down this way though really is equip your lasso and then run towards the person in question and spam F key when close to them. It will do a Melee Tackle + Hogtie all in one go.

i didn't refer to a guy that's already on the ground, if that's the case you should get prompted regardless of chosen weapon. Standing next to him or chasing him if you get close enough the left mouse will tackle him, with lasso equipped it will do same with melee button. It is a few times where you almost kill a guy and he needs to be tied up and he is knocked out, on those wait for prompt or might kick him and kill him when you are not supposed to. You won't throw the lasso with the left mouse unless you hold right mouse then hit left, if you just press left mouse with lasso it is the same as f. Gives you the option to control your running with one hand and take him down with the mouse hand if you don't have a spare button for "f" on the mouse.

Yea Story Mode never does "knock-outs" properly like RDO does.
