this is an online connection required game, any time you download something in the background it can cause issues with the connection which can ultimately cause the game to drag in its own download speeds. - and this has zero to do with pc specs
even though the game is installed completely on someones pc, losing even just a bit of internet connection can hinder any rockstar game.
this is literally why there's a yellow loading icon explicitly for connection issues.
okay but you're talking about the story mode im literally saying that people get kicked out of the game entirely when online because nvidia decides to pirate some download speed. - when it isn't supposed too.
background downloads are turned off, it's still doing it.
^this is the point you're not understanding for some reason.
there is currently a bug with geforce experience that prevents us from stopping these downloads in the background.
idk why i've said this multiple times now.
^this is what i was speaking about.
it was downloading in the background causing microfreezes.
i called it "bogging down" and for some reason OP thinks computers are catching on fire.
no, we are literally seeing the progress of the download via the stutters in the game.
and it's because geforce experience is automatically downloading the drivers, (not installing,) without us even telling it to do so.
i personally, have it turned off, yet it still does it.
so OPs response to just "turn it off" doesn't actually fix anything.
That bug has a name & it's geforce experience..
Uninstall it and that bug will go away.
Maybe we should all just delete the dang thing. I must admit that I like it though because im too lazy to go to their website and check for updates on my own. I like being told when one is out.
Here's the fact of the matter.
On the 6th of September 2022 R* released an update that has adversely affected many players, primarily Nvidia users.
It has not been rectified.
Or we all made it up.
My game half the time wont load a save.
Is there an easy way for users to report these problems to Nvidia? I wonder if they are aware. Maybe they could fix it in a future driver?
But like any game whether you playing single player or online multiplayer it's good idea to save the game progress often and if you feel the need, exit the game and relaunch it every so often to flush the game world cache and such.
If you're using NVIDIA try enabling NVIDIA Reflex + Boost within the game.
If you still experiencing stutters in-game, try playing the game with VSync and Triple Buffering disabled. But then set NVIDIA Control Panel's Vertical Sync to Fast, if you don't have a Display that can use GSync.
