Otherwise, you should try to stick with high velocity or express rounds and make sure you upgrade your Cattleman revolver. Also, keep it clean. It helps a lot.

I checked it out and found a new revolver. Too bad I had to kill that lady though. I tried to shoot her in the leg but she was still dead.
You can take all the time you want/need, there's no time limit on when the chapter ends, it happens when you complete the last mission of the chapter . . . up to you when that happens ;)
I found the witch and had to kill her. Cost me some honor but she had no shotgun, only a treasure map in her house. Maybe sniping her from range was a mistake.
Exactly as Duderino says, I spent around a thousand hours or more in chapter 2 alone.
The missions and weapons don't make the game, it's the exploration, the wealth of suprises and unique things to find, then there's the characters spread across the map that you didn't know existed that will give you side missions.
There's so much to see and do in this game that people still find new things after multiple play throughs.
Don't be in a rush with this game mate, by and large you're a lonesome cowboy and the camp has to wait for you.
Just remember to supply the camp every two or three days or your camp mates may come looking for you because they're worried and you can lose a little bit of honour.
