Good weapons in Chapter 2?

Hi, where can I find good weapons during Chapter 2? I'm tired of having to use an entire drum of the cattleman revolver to kill one guy.

Your best bet is to use mods, like Rampage Trainer (if you want to mostly keep your game vanilla), to spawn a sidearm you'd like, since most of the weapons unlock very late in the game.

Otherwise, you should try to stick with high velocity or express rounds and make sure you upgrade your Cattleman revolver. Also, keep it clean. It helps a lot.

I bought a nice rifle with a scope, I think its the Springfield. It kills in one shot.

I checked it out and found a new revolver. Too bad I had to kill that lady though. I tried to shoot her in the leg but she was still dead.

You'll get pretty much the best long range rifle in the game during a particular mission in chapter two, I think however that particular mission ends chapter two.

You can find carabine repeater from frozen corpse nw of lake isabella (switch to warm clothing, and try to tame white arabian near this location), 2barreled shotgun from "witch" living near start of little creek river, 2barreled rare shotgun from hermit living to north of annesburg, pumpaction shotgun nw of window rock locationand , of coure lancaster repeater waiting you at weaponshop in Rodes. Also you can rob old lady living to north of litle creek river for saemi automatic shotgun. all these is obtainable at beginning chapter2.

Do I have enough time to visit all locations? So far I ignored Strauss money mission but I don't think I can do that forever.

You can take all the time you want/need, there's no time limit on when the chapter ends, it happens when you complete the last mission of the chapter . . . up to you when that happens ;)

I found the witch and had to kill her. Cost me some honor but she had no shotgun, only a treasure map in her house. Maybe sniping her from range was a mistake.

Kid Kidnapped in Rhodes and Help with wood in Valentine are time limited .. what a shame I dont know sooner..

Exactly as Duderino says, I spent around a thousand hours or more in chapter 2 alone.

The missions and weapons don't make the game, it's the exploration, the wealth of suprises and unique things to find, then there's the characters spread across the map that you didn't know existed that will give you side missions.

There's so much to see and do in this game that people still find new things after multiple play throughs.

Don't be in a rush with this game mate, by and large you're a lonesome cowboy and the camp has to wait for you.

Just remember to supply the camp every two or three days or your camp mates may come looking for you because they're worried and you can lose a little bit of honour.

Don't forget that there is also different ammo... Regular, High Velocity, Express, Small Game and Explosive ammo. You can change the type of ammo (provided you have it in your inventory) so it can be more effective in dealing damage.

There is a method to get the bolt action rifle before the mission with lenny by using deadeye to take out the two guys after the ones you take down with Javier in the mission to rescue shaun, one of the guys will carry a bolt action rifles, if you don't do it correctly though the guy's rifle cant be accessed unless you try again
