Request Items not appearing in said locations

for some reason, the pipe for dutch and the harmonica for sadie are not in the locations they wre meant to be. Watched the youtube videos and came to the places the very first time, yet, no item there. Just fought of the bear for the pipe for dutch, but there is no pipe on that desk. What did I do wrong??

Oh, so some items like these are only there for a limited time? Im not there yet. Im at the point where I turned in some lumber to a guy building a house and he said come back once its sold and I will pay you. i read online that quest is on a timer as well.

The requests are chapter sensitive yes
Side quests, activities and other stuff

I had Dutch's pipe once in my inventory and couldn't hand it over despite him standing in front of me lol
I think it's silly but it is what it is

Side quests, activities and other stuff

I will have to watch out for that. I almost thought I missed the time to turn in that lumber, but discovered that there is a very specific spot I had to park the cart in. I had to drive right on top of the tiny marker on the map. I was off a bit and the builder guy wouldnt say a word to me.
What chapter is the pip in? I think im still in chapter 2, cant remember. I just did the main quest where you break the guy out of jail by pulling the bars out with the steam engine device.
Im the guy that likes to do every available quest and side quest thats available, every DLC etc. It will drive me crazy if I screw these sorts of missions up! lol

There are quite a few requests, some are hard to trigger. Doing at least 5 is an achievement

Only quest like that I have is to find a compass for one of his friends at the camp. Ive not seen any compass or a hint of one anywhere.

Not bad. Pearson's compass request to trigger is tricky. Playing poker and having luck that he mentions it lol

LOL. Yeah, i just stumble on a lot of things in this game, and its one reason I like it so far. One cool thing I found was up north of Valentine. Its a little beat up cabin full of skeletons in beds and one sitting at the head of the room at a desk. it was some sort of cult. It was at night and a really weird sound and green light came on. It looked and sounded like it was outside so I went out, but when I went out, it stopped. It was almost like there was a UFO out there!

Basically anything you need to do Gang Camp related you need to do before Guarma. After you come back from there the game is headed towards the end.

So if it matters to you, yes basically any gang member requests as well as getting the legendary satchel for Arthur; I'd ensure to do all of that first before progressing beyond the take down of Angelo Bronte
