Rockstars online game shave always been infested whit cheaters cus they dont have the skills or visions for a good online xperience. only way it to give players the ability to host private servers so they\admincan police its own. but rockstars whants 100% control so they can sell money and ingame items for profit. ending up losing all control as ushual:p

Try REDM.
It's a personal RDR2 server so that you can play the online game and personally control who connects to your game.... keeps the rif-raf away. :)

Yes, the PC version of Red Dead Online is absolutely saturated with cheaters. :/

Don’t bother playing the PC version of RDO unless you’re content to just play in private/solo sessions. If you want to play with others online, pick the game up on a newer PlayStation.

So far, Rockstar has been completely incapable of minimizing cheating in their PC online worlds.

It's a double edged sword. Dealing with cheats for this game or GTAO requires cracking down on mods due to how the engine handles client/server trust, and personally I'd rather have the mods.

I'd rather have secure dedicated servers rather than peer-to-peer connections which are effortless to cheat on. :/

And I'd honestly choose a cheater-free online experience over single-player-mods, but there should be a way to have both. o_o

There's no official support for Private Sessions, but this video shows you how to make them:

Sorry to hear.

If you have a newer PlayStation, RDO is the best on that platform. You don’t have to worry about cheaters.

The online mode for PC honestly feels like a scam. Rockstar isn’t doing anything about the rampant cheating, and there haven’t been any meaningful updates in almost two years. :(

^this.

how can you sell a product and then do nothing about the issues that make it unusable?

they should refund everyones money who bought the online for the simple fact that we can't play it.

Well, I finally ran across hackers in the PVP series... I had kind of thought maybe that was immune to them given that I had never seen an obvious cheater in dozens of matches.

A 4-player posse, all with some sort of damage immunity hack playing Most Wanted. They'd just let you close in and shoot them in the head point blank as much as you want, take no damage, then one-shot you.

EDIT - And just now a guy who teleports every time you aim at him. Along with someone who always has a Rolling Block rifle, even on levels that don't have one. Might have been the same guy, since I could never get a bead on the teleporter to see what their player name was...

Yeah, the script kiddies out there tend to corrupt the servers with their weaK-@$$ sXI11S. The MOD kits are probably selling better than the game itself. :steamhappy:

lol, maybe that’s why Rockstar never does anything to effectively minimize the cheating; maybe one of their devs is running a side-hustle with those mods. :P

(I’m joking.)
