I hugged homeless war veteran
I find in Valentine a homeless war veteran that wanted to be my friend, so I agreed and then I hugged him :33 :bunnyinablanket:

Does things like that also happened in real life were civil war veterans were homeless?

First time I played I did the same thing, every time after that I just shoot him. :)
Yes sometimes Vets came home from war and have nothing to come home to.

Yeah, vagrancy was a massive issue after the Civil War among veterans. There wasn't really any kind of safety net back then and no one really thought to provide for veterans. If I recall correctly there was some small token pension but beyond that if you weren't an officer you were kinda screwed.

I'm nice to Mickey on every play through, even though he's lying about being a veteran. He is just a sad lonely man.

He also steals from you with his "missing" arm while you hug him, lol

Say what you say about rockstar but the NPCs you meet in these games are usually well written and in depth characters you remember after the play through. There are several reasons ppl like their products, this is one of those aspects.
