RDR2 Fail to start up, or crashes immediately when it loads
So I was playing story mode for a week or so, everything was working fine and no issues. I eventually took a few days break and later went to go back on and play more story. When doing so my game would start up, that black screen with the gray/white loading bar at the bottom of the screen, once the loading bar reached towards the end, the game would completely crash, shut down, whatever. I scanned my computer for viruses, corrupted files, restarted my PC, made sure I was logged into Rockstar, checked for any driver and computer updates, shut down every application when loading RDR2 and even reinstalled it and everything was clear and RDR2 still refused to start up. I know how much Rockstar hates RDR2 and the amount of bugs that have been piling up over a short time on RDO so Im not sure if its because Rockstar is just being a dingus or its something wrong with my system. All my other Steam games are loading up just fine so it can't be Steam, I would think. If any of you have any suggestions or know how to fix this it would be much appreciated. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

EDIT 3/26/24:
I wasn't able to fix the issue exactly. I had to check the game file's integrity. It WOULD allow me to play for a few minutes then crash. I didn't play RDR2 for a while, before I tried to played again and the game ran perfectly fine, no issues. My guess is that when I updated my drivers RDR2 wasn't up to date with those said drivers which may have made it crash, so I had to wait until they were up to date. I'm not 100% sure if that was the case or what, its just my best guess.

I don't have Milliris Action, although I do have Medal, if that perhaps causes the same problem?

Milliris action 100% causes problem for a lot of players. When they deleted this app they was able to play rdr 2 lol. Try to delete Medal, mb it'll help who knows.

I may have found a solution, if you go to your Steam library and right click on RDR2 > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files. That should just make sure you have all the files needed if missing. Other wise if that doesn't work then I would do what azitromicina had said, try opening One Drive before launching the game.

Looks like it may have been a failed login with One Drive, thank you for your help anyways!

I was going through the same issue yesterday and then reminded that some games create/save files on one drive, so I tried to re-open it and worked, almost on the same you created this discussion hahaha glad it helped!!!
