Anyone figure out how to rob that doctor's illegal drug sale operations safely?

Wondering if anyone figured out how to get in there and get out with the goods without having to kill everyone and be wanted. For that trouble I dont think its worth doing. I was there during the day an tried it, how about night? I guess theres no way to get in that back door or through the window?

You mean the one in Valentine? I don't think there's a way to rob him and his secret business without getting the law on you, especially considering the sheriff's office is... well, literally right next door.

there's literally a tutorial on it, but i managed to actually do it with only a buck 50 bounty.

you can't actually rob the place without alerting the law, it's scripted.

but, you can avoid a big shootout if you do it the right way.

for instance, shoot all the people in the room after the doc lets you in, (don't worry about the doc, it's just a penalty if you kill him, leaving him alive doesn't change anything,) and then grab the money as fast as you can and wait over around the corner by the safe.

once the lawman comes in to investigate, kill him or lasso him before he sees you, if he sees you it will alert the rest of the law, but if you kill him or hogtie him before he sees you this will not happen.

you will still have the buck 50 bounty tho, and then once you have looted the safe by shooting it with an explosive round, (that doesn't alert the law either but dynamite will,) and grabbed everything of value, just leave out the way you came and hop on your horse and b line it out of town.

Good idea. I hadnt thought of that. Silent kill, but the doctor is the one that lets you in and he runs off doesnt he? Maybe wear a mask during it all?

Do not forget the safe, otherwise the whole thing is rather pointless.
Do it early on in the game, but you will need a weapon with Explosive Ammo.
There is a Schofield Revolver on the table, be ready to swap a sidearm for that, swap with a gun you own, as that won't actually drop, it will be back on your Horse.

When you go to take out the men inside, take care of the woman as well. If you don't she'll pull out a pistol and start shooting. When a room is cleared of threats and ready to loot, quickly use Eagle-Eye, items or boxes will flash to let you know they can be taken.

But yes do not try the dynamite on the wall-safe, it will alert the Police and not only will you have a basic starting Bounty$ of some sort, it could easily go way higher due to the use of explosives in general, due to vandalism, possibly killing others in the process from the explosion; etc. An explosive round will work and not give you any of these problems. Not only that but if use the dynamite method, by the take you are able to loot the safe and all and make your way out, at least 1-2 Police will already be outside the Doc Office ready to move in. Leaving you almost no choice but to shoot them; easily driving up the Bounty$ to around 120-250 or so.

Overall, just save your game before you ever attempt anything like this. That way if you mess up or don't like your results you can simply reload you previous save and do it again.

Manually saving often is key in a game like this.

Yes, manual saves are great as long as its not a mission. I save a lot in all of my games! Thanks for the tips.

If you take the first bounty in valentine you can push the door twice in the doc office and grab the gun and other loot. Then go finish the bounty mission. Then rob the doc after that and you can get a 2nd schofield. Check youtube there are videos on it.

my first time doing it i used the dynamite because i didn't know anything about safe cracking and i got "disturbing the peace" for a 75 dollar bounty lmao.

it always cracks me up how you can slaughter an entire family household and get just a 20 dollar bounty for murder, but using dynamite in town?

oh hell nah.

i guess it upsets the townsfolk lol.

thank god for saves tho lol, my second try after that was a perfect, and i got out with only a buck 50 bounty as i said but i reloaded to try and do it without getting a bounty.

needless to say, after about 50 trys, i can assure you the 1.50 bounty is unavoidable, which isn't bad at all but for those wondering if you can avoid it, no you cannot lol.

oh yeah, if you want to you can rob the register while he's opening up the door, if you make him do it he can be seen by people outside the shop because he's near the windows too long, the only penalty for robbing the register is negative honor.

why?

you can literally rob any store at any time for the challenges, if you're robbing the drug business you may as well rob the register as well.

I have struggled with this one. Watched a couple of videos - but still no joy. Each time I get caught by the lawman. I think its all about getting n quick leave most of the loot and run! Problem is when you go back the door is locked. If you manage to complete it - I would love to know how.

How about doing it at night and wearing your mask? Im thinking that might help. I probably wont mess with it. Im trying my hardest to be a good guy!

Depends what time of day you hit the back room. But yea no big deal. Best way to do it is move well away from Valentine. Use the pop-up camp and fas travel to Valentine. As when doing this it takes a bit of time for the game to generate the NPCs.

Wait for the first deputy to respond, and immediately lasso and hogtie him before he can raise an alarm. That'll give you plenty of time to loot the place and get away a negligible bounty.

If that first deputy raises an alarm / shoots his gun or you shoot him, then you'll get swarmed with more deputies.

If you wear your mask during the whole robbery, they cant identify you can they? So as long as you get away, youre ok with no bounty? Maybe things dont work that way? Ive been a good guy so far and not done any crimes except for the ones required by the story. My reputation is starting to swing pretty far to the right of the scale.I noticed Im getting better prices at the hotel.
