This is the only game i have an issue with, ive trying lowers all setting and still nothing. i7-10700K / RTX 3070 / 16 GB RAM

either that or your pc's just old and things are running slower

Go to the older drivers on Nvidia's site and download version 531.68. It runs pretty well. Im using a 3080ti to run the game while using that driver. I had issues with a newer driver.

i would just try and uninstall all gpu drivers and do a clean install of the drivers seeing if that helps. also need to ask but when was the last time you cleaned your pc ? is dust not just limiting your gpu from working ?

Well, as harsh as this sounds, hopefully you just have a bad setting somewhere.

Run NVIDIA's GeForce Experience optimization - it is well tuned for this game and might show you where you have some mixed-up settings.

Run the tool, Run Optiomization for RDR2, Exit Tool.

Start RDR2, Run Benchmark, Turn down Quality settings until you get ur FPS.

If it's Not a Bad Setting ???, then it could be a configuration problem where the game is trying to use integrated graphics, or some such horrors.

Hey trying to go back to everyone that struggled with the same issues and after trying everything I could think of I read one thing online and it said to delete system.xml for that open file explorer and go here ==>Documents\Rockstar Games\Res Dead Redemption 2\Settings delete the system.xml and launch the game and if that don’t work then maybe change these settings inside Nvidia Control Panel
OpenGL GDI compatibility: prefer Pre-formants, OpenGL rendering GPU (your best GPU)
Power management mode prefer maximum performance
Texture filtering- anisotropic sample: On
Texture filtering- Negative LOD bias: allow
Texture filtering- Quality: high performance
Texture filtering- trilinear optimization: On
Threaded optimization: On
Triple buffering : off
Virtual reality pre-render frames :4(online said 4 or 2 but 4 works best)
