You suck
If you are able to feel sympathy for a computerized game-person, you most probably are a kind person for humans, too.
And since it IS a game, you could consider going for the nugget after all. The NPC can take it. steamhappy:
whenever i have stolen from him, i usually stab him in the back - literally, too. it seems right.
but i only did this a few times, to take his gold and his horse.
if "robbing" in the game worked better, i'd (probably) do that instead - but "kill everyone and leave no witnesses" is how the game teaches us to play.
wish I could join him for search, find myself a few nuggets too in the process to keep,
listen to some old goldwasher-stories, share a bottle of firewater or two, have a good time,
ride along a bit to enjoy the company; that would suit me more ;-)
sadly all I can do is keep my honesty, sincerity and candour, wish him good luck and
feel my heart lighten, watching him find one eventually :-))
The only NPC's that qualify as witnesses in the game's code are those who see you commit a crime, and are not directly hostile toward you. Victims of crimes are not witnesses unless the crime is committed in a city.
I'm winning
You a good man Arthur
