Can my horse respawn if killed or is it permanent?
I'm on story mode but the question might apply to online as well, can my horse respawn or will I lose it permanently?

Is there a way to prevent it? Some item, some mod, anything?

It comes back after a while then? Or do I have to take on some kind of mission or item?

in Online you have to pay a fee (usually 4 dollars) to revive your horse, it will be respawned after an estimated time of 30 seconds or something like that

also there is an item in medic store with the name "Horse Reviver", if your horse is dying and bleeding on the ground, you can use it to prevent its death

In RDO you pay for Insurance on Horses at the Stables; just like with Vehicles in GTA.

In RDR2 Story there is no such thing. Just save manually and often and you'll never lose a Horse.

Yes the autosave seems to work frequently as well. Thx for the tips

Autosave SAVES AFTER bad stuff happens. Do not rely on that.

Your horse is going to die so incredibly rarely that I don't see the point. It's almost nice when I have a reason to go buy a new boah.

Who buys the horses?
