i cant get perfect rabbit pelt

every time i shoot them in head with vermint rifle, i tried with bow once. and every time i get good pelt, i killed 10 rabbit none perfect. what i am doing wrong?

Is your rifle dirty ?
Try to aim longer before shooting, maybe ?

Must get a clean shot in the red zones. Headshot is best and always works for me.

As others have noted, if you aim for and hit the head of a 3-star rabbit with a clean varmint rifle it should always be a 3-star pelt . . . are you sure the rifle is clean, and they're 3-star to start with?

If yes to both, not sure what's wrong, it's something I've never run into myself in several thousand hours.

Also if you are just trusting dead eye, then stop that, that would be the issue. The dead eye locks on to the first thing it detects in sights, not clean shot areas.

You can scope out and then use dead eye, and you should be able to put the shot where you want instead of it grabbing anything down the barrel automatically.

i am shooting exactly the same as this guy and get good pelts

Use the scope instead. If you do it like this video i guarantee it is locking on to the animal before it goes over a vital organ/red areas.

use small arrows or varmint rifle,shoot head

Put scope on the Varmint Rifle, this way you can shoot them at a distance while on horse-back. And yes, try to never let this gun condition go below approx 75% (you can judge this easily by the notches on the bar).
