How to revive a fully dead horse? (Am perfectly open to any cheat suggestions.)

Basically, have done really ****ed up-- starting game horse died, fully dead, beyond the help of a horse reviver, and the game immediately autosaved, and have no earlier saves because I am stupid.

Therefore, does anyone know anything at all I can do to bring this horse back? And I mean even if it's save editing, console spawning it or something, I don't care, I am open to any and all suggestions short of starting the game over. So if anyone has any suggestions, much obliged to you.

Don't know of any mod that can bring back dead horses, I'm pretty sure that's it for that one unfortunately.

I never use auto save, it's worthless and pretty much guaranteed to screw you eventually . . .

Good luck on this one, hope someone knows a trick I haven't heard of yet ;)

Try looking in the progress section on the left menu when you start game, select the chapter your playing in then the episde and then play that

@Jaunitta ~ That won't help, it will just spawn the default Brown Tennessee Walker when you go and do that if your primary horse is dead.

I assume you're talking about singleplayer. It's been a while, but if I recall, you can just tame a wild one as a replacement. One of the first things I did after prologue was go back in to the snow and hunt for the white Arabian to use as a main mount.

Just use Mods then and spawn in whatever horse you want.

Is there any reason in particular you are so attached to the starting horse you're going to immediately replace anyway? Chapter 1 goes fast enough and you can just borrow one of the spares from camp from chapter 2 onward while you find a suitable replacement.

Don't rely on autosave, manual save often.
especially before you are about to do something stupid that gets you and/or your horse killed.

I'd suggest a restart if you was not using manual saves.
