Help Needed! RDR2 Progress does not carry over to new PC

Hi Peeps

I need some urgent help/advise here!

So I have over 672 hours of Steam Gameplay for Red Dead Redemption 2 on my gaming laptop, with a 100% completion achievement.

Recently I have gotten a ROG Ally and downloaded Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam, when I booted up the game, I was assuming that it'll carry over to my new ROG Ally, as all my other Steam games did.

But to my horror, it started as a new game, my progress wasn't carried over to my new handheld gaming PC. At first I feared the worst that my progress was completely erased from the Rockstar Cloud or Rockstar Cloud didn't save my progress.

Then I headed back to my gaming laptop, and was relieved to find out that my progress was in fact still intact. Which makes me wonder, is Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam/PC saved on Rockstar Cloud or Saved locally?

Because I tried to find cloud settings on Rockstar Launcher but couldn't find any. Which is really weird because my GTA V progress carried over to my ROG Ally, which makes me wonder what is up with Rockstar Cloud!

So if I want my current progress on my gaming laptop to be on my ROG Ally, do I have to copy the saved files from the gaming laptop to the ROG Ally?

Can any kind soul here bless me with your expertise opinion? I will be eternally grateful 🙏

Yeah game is using SC cloud, not steam. Enable it either via R* launcher or ingame overlay (home key). Possible that something (i.e. OneDrive, or you just did not enable them when prompted first time) is interfering with it so yeah, in the end could be quicker just to manually copy those files over.

As mentioned the best is simply copy over the saves from Laptop
Copy the folder 9BBCC69F I think it is the same as mine.
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles

Hi,

Im just trying to set up the SC cloud saving. After pressing Home=>settings=> enable cloud save it doesnt save it. As soon as i close the game and run it again the cloud saving is turned off. What can be the problem? I want to play the same story synced on PC also on the Rog Ally.
