game is very buggy. like over the top buggy, why does it have positive reviews?

buggy, unplayable mess.

textures do not load properly, or at all in cases. the ground disappears completely depending on the angle you have the camera. some textures look blurry af because they didn't load properly, and they'll remain that way, then later on they might load correctly and actually have detail. the game claims i have 1.7 hours but i do not..... i actually have about 15-20 minutes. also the game crashed already.... this is not looking good.
and yes, i have tried both vulkan and directx 12. the same thing happens on both.

my specs:
rtx 4090 (24gb vid ram)
64 gb ddr5 ram
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz
windows 11
2tb nvme
40tb hdd (2x 20tb hdds)
all latest drivers and windows updates

obviously i should be able to run the game without issue....

yes it is windows issues, you have to know how to properly config windows / your PC, there is a lot of junk in windows that causes crashes and stuttering for PC gaming, Youtube can be your best friend in fixing all of this stuff.

and why did it fix itself when all i did was tampered with the games settings? and not anything to do with windows or windows settings?

this is a rockstar game, they often leave their games very broken for the longest time before fixing it, a very good example is gta 4. gta 4 was affected by things in windows that other games were not, but why would you consider that a windows glitch and not the game? especially when it is the only game to allow something so small to tamper with its fps, and that fix didn't even really fix it for most people, and the ones it did still had billions of other bugs still. now, years later, gta4 runs great, it is fixed, they patched it. windows did nothing as they didnt need to, it was the game 100%.

thanks for the help though, the problem stopped after i reset the game settings to default. after that was just some endless loading screens.

And that’s why I refuse to upgrade to Win11. My Win 10 pro is all I need.

Playing in 4k (3840x2160) on pretty much the same system (RTX 4090, 64 GB RAM, i9-13900K, 4 TB SSD etc., etc., everything top of the line wherever you look blah blah) and having zero issues.

You didn't fix it . If it was fixed you could run it at max settings . You gave up .

Are you using any up scaling options in the Nvidia control panel by chance? Try disabling that . Just a hunch .

Yep it's just broken for loads of people on new rigs/windows 11. Just have to wait for a fix

Don't put too much hope on rockstar, they have abandoned the game by now.

And I wouldent bet so much on MS ether, the best bet would be Nvidia.

I don't think it is so much a windows bug as it is what it installs on the comp that mite play some tricks on some of the things that's all ready on the machine, for example graphic or sound setting, when my wife updated her mic seting was buging out and she couldent use it any more, so there is always something that mit be efected.

People on Hogwarts legacy also have the exact same issues, game does have problems but its not completely the games fault, quite of bit of people have so much stuff running in the background it causes crashes and stuttering, I hear people complaining that their 4090 GPU having performance issues and I just shake my head and tell them to get a refund it.

nope, no up scaling options in nvidias control panel. i am running the game on maxed settings.... when you use the quality preference slider, it doesn't change any of the options listed under "advanced settings" so if you change the quality slider to maxed out, it will change only the graphics options that aren't listed under "advanced settings" but if you look in "advanced settings" there are more graphical improvements that can be enhanced and turned up or on.

look at the fanboi cry cause someone called out his favorite game out for being left buggy by a studio that is well known for leaving their games very buggy for YEARS long after their games release. grow up and get a life loser. also i got it fixed and i run the game maxed out waaay better than that at more fps ;)

Runs fine for me at 1440 medium settings, but I play 1080 for the extra FPS/quality. Haven't seen much in the way of bugs in a play-through. No crashes at any settings. No slowdowns. Indeed the game can be tweaked easily. 2600x & RX570

all these "it runs fine for me, so you're wrong" type comments are very unintelligent. just because a game "works fine" for YOU, does not mean that it isn't buggy af. go roam the internet, there are tons of people mentioning issues like mine and several others (issues) that i haven't encountered (yet). while i got it working for now, does not mean the game isn't buggy and it doesn't mean that i wont find bugs later.

if you're here to act and cry like a fanboi that can't handle the truth, ya can go cry to your mama cause i don't care. the game is bug riddled whether you agree or not, it's just what it is. i would agree with you, that it isn't buggy if i were the only person having the issues i ran into, but i'm not.... so get over it.
