Rockstar account hacked and email changed

So after a playing rdr2 one day , in the same day some ugly low life loser hacked into my rockstar account and changed email to his. Now I am not able to launch the game even if in rockstar's social club it says I still have my old email but everytime I launch the game it says to manually log in and verify that hacker's email. I tried contacting their support but being a competent support team they haven't replied to any single queires for the pas 3-4 days. They only asked me to confirm my email through replying through email which I did but there was no follow up from their side. and haven't been able to play the game for almost 5-6 days. So is there anything I can do or any other way to contact them? It is really frustrating since these was a expensive purchase for me , and took me almost a year to save up. And it is terrible for companies to force their stupid third party loser launchers and account process to play their damn game instead of launching straight through steam.

Guys, i'd like to know how to recover my account WITHOUT that email, because i found out that my account was compromised few months ago as i bought rdr 2 this week and just now found out, i had cleared my whole email and now i dont have that email to press to recover my email, tried contacting rockstar support but they take too long. Please someone help me.

Then you have to play the waiting game and deal with Rockstar Support.

Thank you everyone in this thread. I just got my account back with the method mentioned.

Tried playing some Red Dead 2 and that started a rollercoaster of emotions from anger and frustration to hope and joy. Almost like playing RDR2 all over again, but with a better ending. :)

i am in correspondence with Rockstar Support regarding my social club account being compromised with a bogus email , so far i am verifying my OWN email , and am confident i will get a resolution , i suggest anyone with same issue , just to be patient respectful and follow rockstars instructions ,

2-Step Authentication (for PC) .. it's like jumping through several hoops, but worth doing.

Also once you have control or for those that have control of their SocialClub accounts right now. Go into its settings on the website and make certain account privacy changes. Any personal info or email have that set to Me Only. Then set the entire profile to Private. If people don't like your profile on private, too bad.

You can still allow certain things to be visible to friends, such as your Profile Wall and such.

Be mindful and careful of other things you are installing on your PC, especially with regards to using VPN or Browser Plug-ins; which could be capturing and leaking your data.

Disable everything in WinOS to do with those extra Keyboard settings and also features like Clipboard History. Along with not allowing Google or others to save/remember your website logins

All my settings are for Me Only .. as I considered the idea that any hacker/nosy-parker would be able to pick up bits of information which might act like breadcrumbs.

If only one setting is set to Me Only, it certainly should be 'Show Linked (Steam) account'.

But, set them all to Me Only, anyway.

Yes I mean honestly, if I add someone on SocialClub, it's to play along side them in a certain game. There is no other reason. If you have inactive friends, get them off your account. And there is no reason to share with them via your profile settings things like your linked accounts such as Facebook, Xbox, Steam, Sony PSN; etc.

I just hope you get your account back fast , they asked me for my email verification after the initial support ticket but then they took almost 15 days to do a follow up to my confirmation. In the meantime I was able to retrieve my account using that pinned answer.

You have to be lucky if that hacker didn't change your password cause in my case he did

mine did and he used a one time use email off of dfirstmail amd it just looks like he did this ♥♥♥♥ for fun and not bc he wanted smth and now i cant log back in

this happened me too some days ago & im unlucky or dumb idk because i dont have the receipt anymore just all cd's,my entire data i have put into the account+ serial code & i have send all of that already to them & they refuse to give it back because this last piece is missing.. i bought the game when it was released for pc in 2015 i just didntt save the receipt
i dont even know how thats possible you get hacked & its so obviously that you got hacked & then they refuse to help after u provide so much proof
No more rockstar products even if they are the greatest in their genre it doesnt matter if buy their products u cant save them from being stolen what makes the purchase not worth it

you should have goten a email saying your email has been changed , check for it

Check the Junk folder in your email.
For most users that's where such a email would be if you've never whitelisted such emails from Rockstar in the past.
