Always sprinting glitch

I am having a really weird glitch in my game. Once I start sprinting I am not able to stop sprinting. I come to a full stop yet Arthur continues to sprint the next time I press W. I am not holding shift. When I get on my horse it immediately starts sprinting at full speed. If I stop the horse using CTRL it will no longer move forward. I'm still able to turn the horse using A and D but the W key doesn't move the horse at all. Additionally, when I get off of my horse I immediately start crouching. This is all very strange and I haven't been able to find anyone with the same issues. I've checked all of my settings, tried changing the keybindings, switched keyboards, restarted my game and pc, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I loaded back to the earliest save I have and it's still like this. I am really hoping that this save isn't a lost cause since I have put down quite a few hours on it. Any help is appreciated!

Additional to these you may have three ffx files introduced on September the 6th last year that you need to keep.

Anything else in the folder may be causing you problems.

I'm going to guess a hardware issue then mate.

Try changing your mouse.

No my game does that too... to fix the horse not moving you have to lead it for a few feet then you can get on and ride, my suspicion is it is caused from sticky keys in windows being activated when you press shift too many times in a few seconds. Try turning sticky keys off in windows and see if it stops

I also thought it may be sticky keys so I have tried playing with them enabled and disabled and neither fixed the issue. Leading the horse also does not work for me. I'm really not sure what is going on with my game... I logged onto online to see if I had the same issue there and I do. At this point I'd be willing to restart the game but I don't think that will even fix it if I'm having the same issue online. It's very odd... I put a ticket in with Rockstar yesterday but haven't gotten a response yet.

This actually did the trick! I had a few strange files in there that weren't on this list, deleted them and verified game files, and now it's fixed! I have no idea what was causing the issue here or what those files were but I'm just glad to have it fixed. Thanks for your help!
