What to do with Arthur's inventory before using John?

Any advice on what I can do with Arthur's inventory/money before moving on to the epilogue I

Only thing you can do is Shop.

So, i'd recommend buying all Recipes at the Fence and maybe all Clothing (and not all clothing is available everywhere).

i don't recommend buying all weapons since they just clog up the weapons list.

and note that many of the random loot chests, with gold bars, will reset for John.

If you haven't had the interaction with the two relatives at the Aberdeen pig farm yet, let them drug you and steal all your money, then you can go back later as John and retrieve it all from the hiding spot behind the portrait ;)

Not unless they patched it within the last year or so, I haven't played story mode in a while but it was working as of last fall, not sure if it still is . . .

You will find everything that is for sale around the whole map in the Catalogue in the RDR2 Companion app. Every bit of clothing, weapons, food, tonics, etc.

Just use the catalogue to buy. I get the catalogue up on my PC so I have nice big clear pictures on the screen of what clothing I want to buy.

Why are people worried about money? You get a ton for finishing the last mission and any treasure hunts and gold bars you didnt pick up are still out there. Money is not a concern in this game once you get to Chapter 2.

No to mention there are tons of loot boxes that respawn those Jewelery Bags over and over again.

If you did not get Legend of the East (99 spaces per slot) Satchel as Arthur you can buy it from Fence once you play as John.

I don't see the point buying a crap ton of food. For canned goods the only real good ones are...

Baked Beans or Kidney Beans
Canned Salmon
Canned Strawberries
Cheese

If you really want good food items, cook a bunch of Game Meat that gives gold boost to Health or Dead-Eye

Then buy the max amount of Qat-Cakes, Hay and Apples for your Horse.
Qat-Cakes and Apples you can also eat yourself if you do it from the Satchel.

Best thing to do with all that loose cash Arthur has it maybe go buy every piece of clothing in the game. This is much easier to do from the Mobile Companion App, or the Online Catalog...

John receives Arthur's Satchel w/ contents, and his Journal. So any loose un-sold Gold would get transferred to John. The loose cash doesn't transfer.

If you donate all of Arthur money to the camp, you actully get it all back when John and Dutch save Sadie from Mica and shoot Mica dead. Dutch walks away in silents and Sadie tells John the money is cabin that Dutch had just walked out of. I think I had gotten around 20k if I remember right. And you do get Arthur satchel with everything in it. Then John and Sadie rides back to Johns farm and John tells Abilgal thats everything is over as being an outlaw with Dutch.
