Boring game

When will RDR2 start to be exciting?
I've been playing for almost 5h, almost done with Chapter 2 and still nothing interesting.
A lot of filler/boring/useless missions so far and I didn't like Valentine at all.

The only thing I'm interested about is Blackwater but so far they haven't tell me what happened back there after 5h of playing!!

Throughout Chapter 3 the game will begin to pick up, but 4,5 and 6 are definitely where it gets really good. Stay with it, you won't regret persevering through the first couple chapters.

But how much time does it take to reach to Chapter 4?
Almost 7h and still in chapter 2 and I'm not enjoying the game at all.

22 hours and I'm still on chapter 2, exploring is fun, but I don't want to venture to far out too soon.

I have almost 8 hours on the game and still barely on chapter two, just have fun riding your horse around, do all the side missions, talk to people. I personally really like this game.

Care to explain how? And since when do you ever have to try to make games not boring? It either is or isn't. You shouldn't have to try and mould it in some weird shape to derive some level of enjoyment out of it, nor should you have to spend 20 hours of your life just to get to the point where something of interest whatsoever actually happens. Some of us have jobs and time dedicated to other hobbies.

If you don't like it by the end of the Valentine section, I don't think you'll enjoy the game. It might also depend on how much of the hidden or side missions you've done. Some of those are better than the main story.

looking at the games you have played for over 5 hours, looks like you dont like stories but constant action to grab your attention. RDR2 is definitely not that till later on in the story. it plays like a movie where it starts with hardrship then transitions into relationship and character building where you get to learn about the people in your camp, lots of read dead isnt even tied to story its little interactions the world has that you would miss if you werent looking. The later bit of the game ramps up the action like a movie but a big part of the enjoyment is the atmosphere.

It's boring. I just started chapter 5 but I've been losing interest since chapter 3 and I'm not sure if I want to continue. Most of the missions are fetch quests and even the heist/shootout missions aren't all that interesting.

I'm not really following the story or character development because its presented via mundane banter on horseback which is dull and Dutch makes group decisions that are nonsense. I do think it's a good game, but I'm not the target audience and maybe neither are you.
