Too many keys on keyboard and mouse
I finished GTAV, and it had great keyboard and mouse control, almost all the main keys could be mapped to the left side of the keyboard where my hand is. This seems to use almost every key on the keyboard with keyboard and mouse. There is too many keys on the keyboard to use, I totally hate that. I have to play with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ xbox controller because there are too many keyboard and mouse keys used. Anyone know why the idiots that set up this keyboard and mouse bindings menu made the game this way?

Of all the PC games I've ever played, this had the greatest number of keyboard keys used during gameplay. Really disappointed in Rockstar, I wanted to play with mouse and keyboard and I can't because the number of keys and the fact they are all over the keyboard make it very unwieldy.

Dagnabbit, Rockstar! How dare you provide such thorough control across the keyboard. I want one key that designates whether or not I take cover, pick up a box of crackers, or explode depending on how hard I press and/or what god I'm currently reciting my daily prayers to.

It takes 20-40 hours to learn the controls on PC which are not even properly explained and often hidden, and even after playing for well over 500 hrs I still find them uncomfortable. In some missions buttons don't even respond properly. It's actually recommended to play with a controller instead, it's that bad. The game itself is very easy, just a bad port. The crew who designed the controls for PC are clearly incompetent, like they've never seen a keyboard or played a PC game before.

I do not understand this topic. For me its the exactly same Buttons on my keyboard that i am using when i am playing GTA5 and they are all located at the left side of keyboard.
For me, as a GTA5 player, it took no 5 minutes to learn the controls. lol

My big problem is with Fishing. The keys are just far apart for some of the actions (Reel in N, and Real Speed R, not to mention Lshift I think). Thats just way too far away for quick action.

20 to 40 hours... sweet jesus you scare me if it takes that long 2 hours is what you meant to say, if it took you 20 hours you just didn't know half them existed at least that is only excuse.

And no Elite Dangerous by far has the most buttons used in any PC game I played, this doesn't even have as many as Arma 3 does...

if its an issue just get like 20 buck corded xbox controller...

Nah, it's opposite, they've made some annoying overlapping keybinds instead of giving us option to bind them separately. For example you are carrying a body and need to reload. Guess what happens most of the times?

By default reeling in is space. Probably you've made some rebinding, though no idea how you've ended up with N of all the keys.

When you carry a body and a gun, you just have to shot until the gun is empty. It will reload automaticly after the last bullet left the barrel. No need to press any button here.

Unless you prefer reloading before going empty. And that's just one example. I.e. when you are placing animal/body on your horse, once again, aim at a bad angle and you'll drop it. These hold/tap/contextual overlaps are just stupid for kbm, there should be options for everyone.

First off you never use N.

While in-game please press ESC > Help > Activities > Fishing
None of the keys are out of your left hand range while using the WASD method of playing.

My recommendation? Use a controller
