Uncle and Red Harlow

Personally, I don't think Uncle is literally Red Harlow, but I do think it's plausible that he (in universe) was the inspiration for the character of Red Harlow.

Sort of like how real people and their exploits can be mythologized by others after the fact, Uncle may very well have been an adventurer in his youth and had a similar backstory to Red Harlow, but with events from his life witnessed by outsiders and spun into stories.

With each new telling, the events would become more and more exaggerated until, much like a long game of Telephone, they turn into tall tales very different from what actually happened.

Personally, I could buy that his origins are the same. He lost both his parents at an early age, possibly to the leader of a gang of outlaws, and then had to venture out on his own. Eventually he learned to become a gunslinger and set out to find the man who killed his parents and take revenge.

Everything else I could see as mere exaggerations of things he actually did.

Not enough detail to be seen in Black and White but If Uncle ain't Red, well that just makes me Blue. Still better than getting Green with anger I guess. ;)-
