Gambler 8
Location - Rhodes Parlour House
IMPORTANT - Get the seat that's furthest to the dealer's left (Stand behind the dealer then look to the left side of the table) as this is the seat that gets dealt to first.
If the seat has been taken, run out onto the balcony and go down the stairs, leave for about 10 seconds, go back inside. NPCs should have reshuffled. Repeat if the seat is still not available
Always do the smallest bet
If your first two cards exceed the total value of 5 or 6 (if you feel risky), leave the table
Buy back in as soon as you can move
The dealer always reshuffles the cards as soon as you leave the table. If you do this fast enough, the dealer won't even reach the next person on the table so you'll be straight into a fresh round.
So!
You thought 8 was bad?
The description looked painful?
Dreading Gambler 9?
You should be!
...it's worse!
Win 3 GAMES of Dominoes IN A ROW
Not rounds, GAMES!
This one is much more grinding than 8 is. While 8 is pure luck, this one is patience, luck, tactical and restraint of not throwing your keyboard/controller through your screen and then throwing your tower/console out the window.
Tips for Gambler 9:
Location - Emerald Ranch train station (Standard game)
Be sure there's only 1 person playing at the table
Always start with your biggest tile and work down to the smaller ones
Keep some tiles that have the same pip end value in case you get blocked
You can pick up from the Bone Yard, but this might lead to mass pick ups so be careful
IMPORTANT - If your opponent has 1 tile left and you have a lot, Leave the table, watch the leaving cut scene, buy back in immediately. This won't reset your win counter!
I'll tell you now: Gambler 10 is a joke compared to these two...
Sure, some people will get it the first try out of luck, but this is a small % of players.
All 5 or whatever it is called. Reaching 100 points. Games are kinda fun and pretty quick. If you are about to lose, just stand up and go again. Challenge 9 is easy.
