How to knock down someone in this game ffs !?

Anyone please knows how to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knock someone down in this game ?!

i want to knock him/her out without using lasso or any of that stuff !

Can i just simply aim my gun and hit him with the back of it or something ?!

THIS IS FRUSTRATING !!!

I mean… you actually play as a gangster who robs shops, stagecoaches, trains and banks and kills hundreds of lawmen in this game. Arthur is a bandit.
Also, hogtying someone (they will free themselves eventually and won’t be injured) is better than hitting them in the face with your weapon if you don’t want to “harm innocent people.”
You are already harming them by robbing them anyway.

I only rob O'drisscols.

and bad folks.

I just love to play it cool and do it right.

Like for example go in the night and rob the bad ppl when everyone is asleep..

Go like smooth ninga and dead eye ON and kill with throwing knife 4-6 ppl in seconds then go like nothing happened.
Instead of making the entire village on my back.

I will try to accept this idea of Arthur as a bandit and outlaw and do it anyway. :(

But it would be cool if i can knock them out like u do in GTA V.
U aim and press R and that's it.

But here in this game u only stuck to FORCE DIALOGUE when u right click and aim on anyone in the game !

What will happend if i kill people like innocent and shop owners and rob places but also making my honor be good and goo all the way to the right ??

Is it gonna effect my game play when i go to towns and cites and in the end game ?

I always like to be the good guy in every game i play..

And this one driving me crazy !

And if i killed a single person for robing him.. u will get huge bounty that i can't even afford to pay off !

Seriously though. I actually understand your frustration. I can't remember for the life of me what the button prompt is for a charge take down. And they are handy. Good luck lol.

listen to this comment because this is the ONLY WAY you can rob a store non-lethally without being wanted

1. walk behind the shop keeper
2. hold right click
3. left click to "aim weapon"
4. arthur will pull the gun out, quiickly STOP holding right-click aim
5. left click ONCE and he'll hit them once and grab them (if you ♥♥♥♥ this angle up, you'll accidentally hip-fire them)
6. after the first hit, press F to knock him out with your hands, if you press left click on the second time he'll shoot them
7. immediately take the contents of the register, dont loot the shop keeper or objects in the shop
8. leave straight away

if you do this correctly, its IMPOSSIBLE to become wanted from robbing stores non lethally

Yes. You can 100% knock people out by smacking them with your gun.

If you want to knock someone out:

- Equip a single pistol.
- Press the “punch” button. (F key I think.)

You’ll pistol whip your target. This might work with other guns as well, but I know it definitely works with pistols.

Do not “aim,” do not press the “fire” button, simply equip a pistol and “punch.”

Then I can only say to you is learn how to chase him down and tackle. I did it to an NPC a few minutes ago. They seen me loot a corpse and ran to notify the police of a murder. If you don't beat on them too much, they survive.

I totally understand u..

But i also really like the game and everything about it..

Wait till u see me walking with my horse lol...

I tap Shift ones or twice and slow walk with my horse a 2km or 4km just looking around the environment and wondering around lol.

But sometimes u wish if there is a small detail in the game..

I tried some stuff but i will do what the others mentioned above right now.
