My MIC doesn't works... why?
Hey lads, so my mic doesn't works when I'm holding the letter N or any other when I change it, why is that?

Meanwhile in other games my mic works perfectly. For example, in CSGO

Did you actually test it while you're in the RDR2 game settings?
Perhaps what device is selected in there is incorrect.
Mine was doing that where even though I do not use the Rear Mic port, it kept jumping back to that in-game at random of a game launch. I had to change it to Front Mic within the game settings.

CSGO is different, Valve/Source games use whatever settings Steam is using.
Most other games don't work like that and use what YOU set as the default within your OS.

Under Win10/11 some games will have a problem where at first the Mic doesn't work because you need to ALT+TAB back into Windows after game launch and approve Mic permissions for the game/app.

I'll have that in mind, perhaps my mic isn't letting the game work!

Well again it's your settings for your Game or your OS. Or a combination of both.

If you have multiples plugged in then you have to watch for that and select the right one. For example a user might have two mics and not think about that, such as having both a Headset and a Webcam connected. The webcam acts as a mic as well.

Just go windows sound, on input and make sure your mic is the DEFAULT input device and the DEFAULT communication device. Then in rdr2 options make sure it is set to default device. Last you look for the speaker on the mid to low right side of screen when you hold "N" to indicate the mic is on.

Are you using Win10 or Win11?
Cause how you go about messing around with Audio is completely different between those 2 OS'

When u press "n" and say nothing it wont work. Try to hold "n" and say something - u will see that it works fine i think.

yea if you have mic in front of your case then it doesnt work.. you must have mic right to you motherboard.....

I wouldn't trust using Front Audio ports on a Case anyways. Most of the cables that come with Cases to connect that to the Motherboard aren't shielded and allow noise to leak in.
