Rockstar Games is the worst company I've ever had to deal with

Do not buy this game.

This company needs to fail and be bought out by competent people. This company should not receive a dime until that happens.

Your launcher is trash. Your DRM is trash. Why do I have to take a godforsaken IQ test to play a game I OWN.

Your social club link to steam doesn't work, I have to launch through steam.

Several mods trigger your DRM, I assume it sees them as cracks.

Rockstar games is run by trash people and you shouldn't ever support them. I will be refunding the game. I'm approaching half an hour of "playtime" which is nothing but me trying to GET THE GAME TO WORK RIGHT.

People need to stop coping with hours of troubleshooting to play good games, and start demanding to own the content they buy.

Allow me to clarify my point. This is a thread that is clearly geared toward complaining about rockstar. Your presence here is unnecessary and unwanted, but of no concern of mine. I'm here to ♥♥♥♥♥ about rockstar and that's what I'm going to do.

That being said, Rockstar's New York office will actually take your call IF you have a disability. Leveraging this, I was finally able to speak with someone who hinted that the launcher will specifically ignore certain types of connections.

So possible solution for some people getting the activation error: Switch to or from your mobile hotspot, wifi, or ethernet. Just try different connections until it works. I finally got the game to launch using my phone's hotspot, as my portable wifi was apparently insufficient,

Actually it is theft. They take everyone $60 with nothing in return and just run. They won't help someone with there problem. Its like paying someone up front to do some work around the house and they just don't show up. ITS THEFT!!! Rock* is POS WOKE Billion dollar company that just wants to fill there pockets.
I hope they go down in a ball of flames just like the other game companies that faced gaint layoffs in the past week.
Oh by the way my game actually works , I just have the balls to call them out for the POS they are, I'm standing up for the little guy.

They make a game called Grand theft auto, maybe you've heard of it. Game encourages players to steal cars , kill cops and people , run drugs. Purdy much whats go on in America right now.

I've dealt with R* support over an issue in GTA V that was 100% my fault. I lost my best car in my nightclub b/c it isn't clear that when you park a new car there the existing car goes bye bye. They refunded my car even though by that time I made enough to purchase another. They were extremely helpful, understanding and the issue was resolved quickly.
