whats performance like on high-end systems?
you know how a lot of rockstar games suffer from "i dont care what rig you have. suffer." ? no matter what 5090 ti ultra max foudners edition card you have the game just runs like sh:FortissimoFA_Joy:t? does this game run okay for u guys?? please let me know in this thread

It is very stressing for GPU and RAM so it will be crashing with an unstable overclock. I have zero problems with older ahem "offline" 1436.28 build but YMMV. Beware of Rockstar Launcher and later game updates.

im actually wondering the same as I got a pc upgrade recently. last time I checked 2 titan RTX in sli both at 100% useage should do like max settings at I think it was like 2k but it might have been either higher or lower. I know you need a lot of Vram lmao.

no they were both used 100%. he had msi after burner over the recording, on the Vram part I am wrong as long as you dont touch the resolution scaler, it requires only 12 gigs of Vram at max settings withouth the res scaler.

so after installing it, testing it out, I can get a impressive 25FPS at max settings 4k, and I thought plague tale requim or how ever its spelled seemed hard to run lmao. I guess the Vram usage isnt as bad as I thought, its sitting at 12 gigs so if a powerful enough 12 gig card will ever exist it wouldnt have Vram bottlenecks here.

its also super gpu bottlenecked, so I guess cpu doesnt matter to much its all upto the gpu. one thing that I still have issues with is that the textures of a lot of stuff still seems really bad, I guess its just a ported ps4 game but they shouldve really made those more detailed for pc if you ask me. but im also not sure if and how much more performance that would cost.

and I did forget to see if it had DLSS3, although Im not sure how that would go if the game had that, I thought that mainly helped with cpu bottlenecks.

It's very demanding but well optmized. You won't have any performance issues with a decent cpu. I was able to run the game pretty smoothly with a 9700f and 16GB 2666 mhz RAM

got a 4k monitor with a 10700 cpu (pretty mid chip) with a 3080ti. only thing the cpu suffers from is single core performance on games that can only use one core. i run tarkov and cyberpunk on max fine

You will be fine. Last part of the benchmark is St Denis which is most demanding, fps is better in the wilderness

I'm getting around 70-120 fps ( depending on scenery ) , on RTX 3070 , 1440p , everything mostly at high or highish . I'm usuing 'quality' DLSS setting.

I do have a newer system but installed RDR2 on my older computer because of all the complaint here about RTX cards especially.

If anybody wants to know. This games runs in Ultra mode with all graphics settings at High on a GTX980ti card. Obviously some ambient occlusion and reflections and stuff aren't as good as with an RTX but the game still looks really great and zero running problems.

you'll be fine, i got a 10700k + 3080, 1440p, i locked the game at 85fps, almost max settings and dlss quality, i got 85fps almost everytime, just in some heavy situations (like being in a forest by night with a lantern in a camp, resulting in a lot of casting shadows (?) of the trees and objects around me) it goes into the 60+fps.

It's a masterpiece, maybe a little slow overall, but if you got patience and want to be immersed in a game, it's a very very good experience. Game is beautiful, story is great, world is alive, dead eye slow motion is cool etc...

my benchmark results, and know that for some reason OBS take ~10fps, and in-game has better performance than the benchmark so consider that you'll have better performance than in my video (except i'm in 1440p and you are in 4k but you know what i mean, if you play at 1440p expect better perfs)
