"Already running"

If I click play, it brings me to this thing that says its already running, ive tried some things can someone help?

Every time I've had that problem I have to shut down Steam completely (which may also require rebooting your PC after you shut down Steam). Then boot the PC up and start Steam again. It's worked for me each time that has happened in various games.

Changing API from default Vulkan to DX12 by editing a system file. Easy and simple fix. May be or not your issue. Good luck.

Try opening task manager, and closing the game there by clicking it and selecting end task. If that doesnt work just reset your pc. Hope this helps !
