Controller was working fine for 120+ hours. I don't know what they changed but now this game is unplayable for me and my condition
what controller are you using? Xbox should work by default. if you have issues with the Xbox controller go to windows store and download 'Xbox Accessories' and update and test the controller on there. I also recommend going to steam and disabling all Controller profiles in the properties, if a game natively supports controller it will be baked into the game, so it should auto detect the input.

If none of these issues work you might have issues with the controller, if its not an Xbox controller, like a Dual sense for example, you might need to activate one of the steam profiles or download a third party application. I think i tried the Dual sense on RDR2 and it didn't detect it, or maybe it did and the buttons were different, i dont exactly remember.

Check the controller via JOY.CPL (run that command via WINKEY+R)
If its fine in there then it'll be fine in the game.
It needs to be plug & play; like X360 / XBO / DS4

If it's not a game in your Steam Library, add the game as a non-Steam game. Launch it through Steam > BigPictureMode (have the Rockstar Launcher already launched and ready. Don't link to the RDR2.exe, link to the PlayRDR2.exe

Once game reached main menu, open the Steam Overlay and switch to where you can modify the controller config in BigPictureMode

The user obviously installed something that is acting as emulation or similar, where it's impairing games from seeing controller properly. Cause with RDR2, even if it's just from Rockstar and not from Steam, most controllers like Microsoft, Razer, Logitech, Sony all work with that game without issues.

i tried an Xbox 360 controller and its working with that, so im guessing the Razer Raiju isnt supported?

Have you installed the proper Driver for Razer Raiju; from Razer?

i have the razer raiju. I dont use it on PC, i used it on the PS4 at one point but then i realized how uncomfortable the back paddles were. Its sitting here on my desk as i type this. Ill mess around with it when i get a chance.I remember there being a switch in the back for PS4 or PC. Try that.
